Has anyone experienced severe stomach problems with lyme. I have terrible stomach pains and nonstop bowel movements. Everything I eat goes straight through me and I am constantly sick on the stomach.

I have been on treatment for almost a year and i still have the symptoms you have described.

I had the worst nightmare with my stomach last year. I couldnt eat anything and if i did hell would break loose with all of lyme symptoms.

Then i took meds and got much better in summer to a point i can eat again.

However i have those symptoms you have now. And all of my lyme symptoms have returned.

I blame cold weather for it. I definitley feel sick when its cold.

May God Bless you, answer your prayers, relieve you of your pain and make you stronger than what you are today. Ameen.

IBS-like symptoms, and other GI issues like GERDS are well known with lyme. However, they are also associated with bartonella. It's hard to know which one is causing the problems.

If the abx makes them go away, then it's the infection causing the problems. Usually, abx CAUSES GI problems.

I have had severe problems, as well. At first, I couldn't hold down anything which led to uncontrollable weight loss. My stomach hurts and I get those twitches in my upper stomach and sometimes the lower. For some reason, in the last month I have went from not eating and loosing to the opposite pole. I feel for you b/c it feels like someone is stabbing you in the gut. God Bless!

my symptoms range from constipation to diahhrea, severe abdominal pain, to even bleeding.

it changes from day to day.
