I recently started Plaquenil and am supposed to be taking 2 pills a day. Since the day I started, and I am only taking one a day to begin with, I have this dizzimess, and like a vision, fun house, lack of concentration, confusion thing going on.

Has anyone had similar experiences with this? If it's part of treatment and something I have to just tough out, I will. I just wonder if it's some dangerous sort of side effect.

I had that too and had to quit...my LLMD did not explain why. What else are you taking it with?

I am taking it with Zith and Tindamax. I called the Drs office and they called back. Said to go off for a few days and restart. If I get the dizziness back, to go off of it. She didn't say why; just sometimes it causes this in people.

Yup - I tried 1/2 that dose and as as it gradually built up in my body the dizziness became intolerable - I have dizzines anyway and I had to stop cold turkey.

I've heard it's a great drug so I hope you can tolerate it with a short break.
