I've had a nasty cold that started Tuesday--we're all dealing with it here.
My older son is on abx for a sinus infection, and he's doing well.
This morning I woke up and had almost an hour of coughing up phlegm, some clear, some green (sorry TMI).
Felt a little yucky, of course, but ate normal breakfast and took my Doxy.
After about an hour I started feeling nauseated and half dizzy, and that has lasted off and on most of the day. No fever at all.
Cough has settled down for the most part, but after a nap this afternoon, I had another half hour of coughing, and now I have a nagging stomachache and mild nausea.
No appetite either, I ate just enough supper to try to take my Doxy but decided against it since I feel worse after eating.
Could I have developed bronchitis? I would have thought the abx would have prevented that. I have gotten similar stomach upset before with bronchitis.
Or could the Doxy be hitting me wrong--I just started back on it on Wednesday. Great timing, I know.
I'm hoping it's not something else.

You can get other infections that doxy does not work against, so yes you might could develop bronchitis or something else. I developed strep throat while on minocycline.

I have one refill left on my Amoxyl rx, and I seriously thought about getting it filled and seeing if that helps me.
I'm really starting to feel crappy, and I'm not too sure I won't be heading either to urgent care tomorrow or the ER tonight.
I'm getting myself worked up over this, plus I'm stressed over a project that I thought I had 4 weeks to complete, but I only have 2 weeks.
Not what I need on my plate at this point. Not at all.

Try not to get worked up. It can magnify what is actually happening to you.
If you feel too bad, go to ER!

Well, I had a mostly sleepless night last night between the coughing and stress in general.
I am really worked up over my final paper for school, and I am SOOOOO tired but I can't relax and get some sleep.
Anyway, the cough wasn't quite as bad today (8 instead of 10), and the nausea has pretty much settled.
But now that night has set in, I feel worse again, really tight in the chest with a lot fo air hunger.
