- Just be sure whatever you get does NOT contain aspartame (Nutrasweet/Equal) as a sweetener.
It is best to get this (and anything else you consume) in a glass container, not plastic. -

Most has corn syrup, too. I buy natural ones from the health food store that come in glass and are sweetened with sugar (yeah, sugar's not so good, but I got more benefit from the quinine than I was hurt by the sugar).

What kind of benefits did you see Six? Was it really obvious. I figured there was such a small amount in there that it would not help.
Second guessing that now.. I am thinking of getting some.
What can you tell me? Thanks

- I hesitate posting this as sometimes someone will just go wild with quinine. However, I have to bow to our right to freedom of choice and hope we are educated and proceed wisely regarding our choices.
Quinine can be very helpful. Yet, it is something to respect - too much can cause major damage to the ears. If tinnitus (ringing in the ears) occurs, that is a sign too much has been taken and it should be decreased or stopped. Deafness can occur from too high of a dose (which can even be a small amount).
Even a tiny amount can cause stomach upset but that is just part of the deal - be sure that you have expert guidance to know what is to be expected and what is too much. First, as with all supplements, READ all about - from a variety of sources.
Still, with all that said, this can be a big help - as PART of a plan.
Because of the sugar/corn syrup/aspartame/plastic concerns in supermarket Tonic waters:
You might start with ONE DROP of a good tincture in your home-filtered water. One drop is much more than in a whole bottle of tonic water, so be careful.

Yes, I always thought there was too small an amount to be of benefit.
After I returned from Germany and still had active babesia but not active Lyme, it would help with air hunger and fatigue.
I returned from Germany Nov. 1, 2008, then went to Italy for two weeks over Christmas .... I started declining in Italy over a few days, started drinking 2 cans per day (it came in vending machines there), and felt much better. It took away the fatigue and air hunger.
I don't know if everyone would have the same benefit I did, but that was my experience.

Thanks for the info and sites too.. .. Appreciated.
Thats great that it helped you that much Six. There must be something to it. I do well when trying to use babesia treatments even after i feel babesia symptoms are gone. Maybe the parasite that is not identified that is responding to too..
Maybe a way to find it not sweetened at all?

See the link above for the tincture. A tincture is as clean as you're going to find. Start with just one drop in lots of water - after first reading all about it. -

What is "President Choice?" Is that a brand?
I too sucked down gallons of tonic water back when treating babesia, though I can't say it did much good. Then again, neither did the mepron.
(I did two courses of mepron and zith: the first time around I didn't notice much of anything; the second time it helped with energy, but that did not last long. The breathlessness did, however, go away. But since I don't do anything that could possibly make me breathless, it's hard to tell if that is really gone.)

I agree. Someone here just posted the amount of quinine contained and it's miniscule compared to taking it in pill form.

Yeah, the quinine dosage in a 32 oz tonic water is a joke. Posts: 7545 | From The 5th Dimension - The Twilight Zone | Registered: Mar 2008

While the amount of quinine in tonic water may be small, it still made me herx a little.
BTW, the tinnitus symptom can be tricky, because that's also a Lyme symptom. So you have to use some good judgement to decide if it's a side effect of the quinine or other med, or if it's a symptom, which could also intensify when you're herxing.
In my case, I believe it's a herx, because it often gets louder after taking a dose of medication.
