Has anyone tried using any of the online diagnostic sites such as yourdiagnosis.com? (And if so, do you type in your symptoms and have it say Lyme? Or do you type in that you have or have had Lyme along with your symptoms and hope it spits out something else that someone, somewhere might know how to treat?)

Thanks.

Dig up Dr. B's symptom survey form + try it.

I feel it is a good start but also feel you need to talk with a doc. [Cool]

I haven't tried typing in that I have Lyme, bbut I have tried those sites.

I am dying of every weird never-heard-of-it disease in the world, though. [lol]

The Lyme disease symptoms list is in the top few in Medical.

but no, I haven't tried sites such as that. I found out I had Lyme quite by accident.

Clarifying my original post...

We are years into this. Have the IGENEX diagnosis. Have seen 3 LLMDs and at least one other doc for each organ or bodily system.

Looking for new avenues and wondering what would happen if one actually typed in all their symptoms and diagnoses into one of these sites.

Starfall may have answered the question...if you put in everything, it probably spits out everything.

(Starfall - was Lyme one of its answers?)

I have tried it and surprisingly, Lyme is one of the possibilities.

bystander~ It seems from your last post that you are looking for other areas to explore, as you have lyme symptoms but think it may not be lyme, or may be something in addition to lyme.

Do a search at lymenet for "viral tests" using my member number and some suggestions will come up.

HHV-6, EBV, Cpn and Enterovirus can all give you lyme like symptoms. And they are treated differently from lyme (at least the viruses are).

I have benefitted from both antiviral and antibiotic treatment.

Best, Timaca

I just did it, the free version. It just told me I probably had anemia and a whole bunch of other diseases/conditions that they would only show me if I paid 14.99. lol.

When I was trying to figure out what was wrong, I tried a few similar (but free ones). Pretty much everything under the sun came up, but the most frequent were:
-Lupus
-CFS
-Mono
-Measles/Rubella/Tuberculosis
-Weird genetic disorders (there's a whole bunch that effect your bones and tendons)
-Cancer
-Syphilis

Lyme disease came up enough to make me wonder- especially when I got tested for Lupus, and started ruling out the ones that I was sure it wasn't.

Thanks to everyone who has replied for saving me the money needed to try these sites. And Timaca, thank you. Past viral tests negative though.

No question I'm just reaching here. (It's my partner with lyme, not me btw). No question it is/was Lyme, but we're in the Tried Everything Gained Little group, with not enough emotional or financial resources to start all the treatments all over again -- again. (We started from scratch once before already.) But our more recent avenue of seeking out individual specialists for each damaged system is a nearly laughable failure.

Happy Thanksgiving though.
