It has been years since I've posted on here. I would like to say that I have been symptom free and I believe I'm essentially cured of my lyme disease.
I, however, last week had a very suspicious circular red rash with a bit of discoloration in the center show up on the back side of my knee. I haven't been bitten by any ticks lately. The common understanding is that a bull's eye rash shows up soon after initial infection. Can this rash show up years after infection? This is a bit alarming.
I don't have any other symptoms and i feel great besides being a bit tired from a bit of sleep deprivation.

Can you call your old LLMD and ask? I no longer see my LLMD because I'm also in remission, but I am free to start seeing him again if I need to.
Be sure to get a picture of that rash.
Have you been under any unusual stress or illness lately that might be bringing the Lyme out of remission? Do you have any other symptoms? Maybe catching up on sleep might be a good idea so that you don't get a full blown relapse, if it is from the Lyme.
I hope someone else has a better answer for you.

I am moving this to medical ..... at the top of this thread (if you're in general support) there will be a link to the thread in medical on the upper left side. It's a medical question and I think it will get more answers there.

I had a bulls eye rash come out on my arm 20 yrs after I was bitten. (the tick was fully engorged) I was eating spicy Indian food at the time. I also was doing some protocols and was herxing at the time. I would just be aware if you have any old symptoms,

Hey stranger...
Good to see you!
My bet is you were bitten by a tiny nymph tick and didn't know it. They are still out and about this time of year and from what I've seen lately, this is a worse year than most in the numbers of active tiny ticks.
HOWEVER... Last I heard you were giving up antibiotics and going on steroids. Then you disappeared (at least I didn't see you- maybe I disappeared?). Do you still have the tremors or are they gone now?
The point is, either way, with the possibility of an old rash coming back or it being a new one, my question is...
Do you feel lucky punk?
Yes, too many Clint Eastwood movies, pumpkin pie and turkey over the holidays. Anyhow....
You know the drill! If you suspect Lyme... get treated. And get treated BEFORE you end up like you were before.
