Need help! (FIRST TIME POSTING) Yesterday received results on Colonscopy.... "substantial microscopic lymphocytic colitis and they want me taking 3 Entocort (corticosteriod!) every day for six weeks. Just had appt today with my LLMD who agrees with my hesitation on this. Also very bottom of tailbone has been killing me for last three months. 20 years Chronic Lyme - been doing good last two years (30+ supplements around the clock every 3 hours) aside from mercury poisoning, fillings removed year ago, now dealing with horrible yeast in mouth and itching skin. Any connections? This one has us both a little stumped. Anyone else dealt with this? Any suggestion on alternative meds aside from a steroid?!

Here is a helpful forum for microscopic colitis. You can try diet modifications...gluten, dairy, soy free to start seem to help many.

have you been taking antibiotics recently?

if so, lymphocytic colitis can actually be c.difficile in disguise. All endocort does is suppress things, its a steroid.
