shelly I have the same horrible gastric issues. I've had sx of IBS (?) since '05 after another attack by ticks.

Last year I had colonoscopy/endoscopy to figure out what was going on. My doc did many tests, gluten, lactois, parasites etc.

Bioposis (sp)of colon show negative for any bacteria???? Of course the lab needed to be educated on tick borne bacteria to look for.

So I'd say they wouldn't know lyme, bart etc if it bite them in the butt. So my doc labeled me IBS.

Nothing he tried with me worked. Meds or over the counter. So I continue with it.

I did have the PCP rx me Levaquin, my thinking was bart due to other sx. Thirty days of levaquin did help, but afterwards the sx came back.

So I've done 3-30 periods of levaquin and each time came improvement with results until I stopped them. So I need to find another abx that would be comparable but not as expensive or have questionable long term effects.

I hope there will be some suggestions posted.

Pam
