The other thread on the Bart relapse got me thinking about this question.
I can not go very long off abx without having what I think are bart symptoms start to build to an unmanagable level. It seems to not even matter that much which abx I take to get things back under control either - as long as its something.
Just curious if my experience is similar to other bart sufferers.

I have only been off once from Bart tx and relapsed with in 2-3 weeks. This time I retreated and then switched abx to finish up so I cannot comment yet about it. Finger crossed this time will be the last.

I believe that a general rule is that CIs come back quickly and Lyme slowly.

Dr. B says what thomasx said above...you know it's coinfections if the symtoms come back quickly.
That is also what I have seen with my children. We have tried to stop bart meds with two of them and they started getting a headache and buzzing in the ears within about 5-7 days. It took 2 to 3 weeks to get back where we were with no headache.

yes. So far, have switched up meds twice. Doesn't seem to matter much what I take, the symptoms disappear (some better than others depending on the abx combo).
LLMD thinks it's BLO. No known effective treatment. sucks. I have remission in sight but can't seem to get there.
Now, my choices are limited because I have c diff.
I'm so done with all this crap. I'm slipping into a depression because of it. Scared to stop abx again too. Will be asking for an antidepressant at next apt.
