Hi Everyone,

I have been gone long time. I have had lyme and all co infections since 95 didn't get diagnosed till 97.

as you can see I should change my name from 10 years to 14 plus years. Since I have been
gone.
I like alot of you have had many IV's some ports and all the other things we do to get well.
been on bicillian shots since this past june.

I really don't know how much longer I can do those. 3 x wk. Anyway in the years I haven't been here The lyme went in to my heart in to my kidneys, brain, nervos system this past march I was so sick I almost died. it was so scarry!

I was in Bed for 7 months went down hill real fast lost 35lbs in the first 3 months. my blood pressure became so low no one could get it. I now have home nursing to keep a check on it.

and physical therapy. there is so much more but I won't bore you. I never really left the site I still read it but I was so fatigued I couldn't do much more.

Latee stage lyme is awful and I don't believe that it will be cured at this point. does anyone have late stage and agrees with me. well just a little history to people that never heard of me.

my question today is has anyone been on biaxin and did it cause heart problems?

I hope this is easy to read because sometimes if a paragraph is to long it all runs together and makes it hard for us to read or at least for me. Thanks for listening to me go on. [shake]

That sucks sorry to hear. Biaxin helped a lot with my heart problems, specifically the obnoxious vagus nerve problems where I couldn't bend over or lay down without palpitations to kingdom come.

500x2 a day for 3 months I did.

Biaxin never caused much difficulty for me.

Sorry to hear about your plight, Mar. I think many can relate.

I'm not sure how well you are now and how much you can tolerate as far as meds.

But IV tigecycline may be worth a shot at some point.

How are your kidneys and liver currently?

Are you pairing the Biaxin with anything else?

Best.

Biaxin causes my heart to do flip-flops. I can no longer take it because of that. Please check with your dr if it is causing heart symptoms.

Oh Gosh. I am so sorry to hear your husband would say such a thing.

I have heard of men leaving and divorce over this disease but not that sort of horrible statment made..

HUGS>> To you

Your worth living your life for YOURSELF and not for anyone else...

Are you seeing a doctor in NY? I heard there are some good ones there.

I am sure since you have been sick so long and had IV therapy and Ports etc that you know who to see an probably do have a doctor.

But what does the doctor say about your situation?

Please talk to your doctor about all ALL of what is going on..

Wishing you the best..

I wish I had some answers..

This is a very difficult disease to fight and there are plenty of times I have felt loney and sad and ready to give up..

Then i grab myself by the boot straps an talk to myself and pull myself out of it..

Its rough.. It is such a roller coaster ride .. this disease..

So Keep that in mind too.

Maybe some others will have some more specific Ideas for you??

BLESSINGS>

I just started on Biaxin on Monday and have not had issues with it. I'll probably herx next week, but my body seems to be handling it better than Zithromax.

I have had heart palps from time to time from the lyme or babesia, but I haven't had them this week.

I know that starting on a new abx can be scary, but it's even more scary for me not to try.

If it doesn't work, you move on to something else and know that you have more information on what works and doesn't work for you.

Are you on any other abx right now, or have you taken abx in combinations to target the different forms of lyme in your body?

I hope you are feeling better soon and find a good alternative for your bicillin.
