Has anyone here ever had a reaction to antiseizure medicines? I was wondering if mine were due to the Lyme.

The first one I tried was for severe chronic pain because of sciatic nerve problems.

Hi, i don't know if this is what you mean but a year ago they put me on lyrica which is i believe an anti-convulsant but is also extensively used for nerve pain and i reacted terrible to it.
made me more dizzy than i already am, couldn't function, bloated me so i couldn't get shoes on. went off it after 2 weeks.

What kind of reaction did you have LymeNetPerson? I take Neurontin and have not had any probs on it...initially somewhat sedating but that disappears after a while.

I took Lyrica for about a year 3x a day. Only side effect was feeling spaced out and a little dizzy.

I took Keppra for a year, and when my body was adjusting to it, i got soo dizzy that the floor/sidewalks would tilt up at me at a 90 degree angle (forward). Increased my dizziness way too much and made me sensitive to flashing lights..
