Was wondering what dosage those of you taking Biaxin are on?

I am taking 1000 mg.s a day and found that when I take it (2 - 500mg.s) all at once I get terrible anxiety and a couple of skipped beaters here and there.

So I split my dosage this weekend to one in the am and one in the pm and found the anxiety and occasional irregular heart beats to pretty much go down 50%.

I will put a call into my LLMD this morning but curious..

Do you split your dose or take it all at once?

What sort of side effects do you experience from the Biaxin? Thanks! TG

I got insomnia, anorexia, and anxiety from biaxin. It started immediately and the insomnia and anorexia got progressively worse.

By the third day, I couldn't sleep at all at night and could not eat even one spoonful of food.

I called the doc and he laughed and said it was biaxin side effects and changed my meds.

I don't remember the dosage.

Thanks TF. I am on day 9 and yesterday was the first day that I did not have off the wall anxiety so maybe my body is getting use to it.

I spilt the dose and that seems to help. Seems like anxiety is a common side effect but I am hoping to be able to tolerate it cuz I feel as if it is hitting some stuff.
