My babs fish test was the only positive test I 've gotten for any infection and it resulted in me doing a course of mepron which I think was critical to getting well.
I don't remember the cost but I don't think insurance covered it.

Mine was a waste of money.
Fish only tests for two of the 13+ known strains of babesia.
Mine came back negative.
However, had all of babesia symptoms.
Treated for well over a year before clearing of most babesia symptoms.
I did mepron and malarone at different times.

Interesting. My Fsh was +ve last Nov. Did 4 mths of mepron/azith combo, retested this fall and FSH test was -ve. LLMD declared my Babs cured. But what you're saying is I could still have Babs despite new -ve test?

How long was everyone off meds before testing for Fish-were you off meds?
