Most likely.
Do you also do something to prevent yeast and a probiotic?

I started on Flagyl my first month of treatment 500mg a day, plus Zith 500mg, plus diflucan 3x a week. I felt so awful before even starting treatment, that it just wasn't that bad for me.

Others say it kicked their butt. I think I was just so sick that it didn't matter. In other words it wasn't a big deal for me.

Best for me so far has been long term low dose doxy. I am improving the most with this protocol. This is after a year and a half of various other protocols.

Definetly gotta have someting to prevent yeast while on Flagyl.

thanks,

In decyphering your post, I understand your abx to be:

200 mg. doxy total per day to be taken 100mg., twice per day
750 mg. flagyl total per day to be taken 250mg, 3 times per day

If this is incorrect, please advise.

JUST MY OPINION: Since you've been on a minimal dose of doxy (200 mg total, when 400 mg total is recommended) per day, for only 2 months, the cyst build up should be less than if doxy at full dose. HOWEVER, 750mg flagyl per day, total, IN MY OPINION, is a lot of flagyl to start off with. If it's okay with you and your doc, please don't begin by dosing at the full 750mg per day, but rather 250mg and increase if you don't react badly to it.

THIS IS JUST A SUGGESTION. PLEASE USE YOUR OWN JUDGEMENT AND CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR!

I agree that that is a lot of flagyl to begin with. Be careful. I agree with ping bigtime.

One of the best probiotics is Theralac. Another would be Ultimate Flora, which you can find at your health food store.

www.theralac.com

There's also VSL#3 that's good.
