I'm planning to start salt/vitC right after Christmas.

I had ordered the salt, vitC, and scale a while back. Now I need to start.

I also have most of the information on it, I guess what I'm looking for is:

* How much should I take to start out?

* How often should I ramp up?

* ANY tips or advice.

If anyone is willing to help walk me through this by email or phone if I have questions or problems, I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks much, july

Hi July,

I have been doing salt/c for over 3yrs. I started out very slow with 1/4 tsp salt and 1/4 tsp c per day in a large glass of water. I drink extra water through out the day also. (very important to circulate the salt/c)

I ramped up 1/4 tsp each according to how I was herxing. You can also visit lymestrategies as these are the people that do salt/c as well as other protocols.

Are you using sea salt or the sodium chloride tablets?

Ramping up slowly is highly suggested. It is a very powerful protocol. Are you taking other meds?

I will help you in any way I can. If you have any questions after you start you can pm me.

Gael

Ang,

I suggested how to take it in the above post. I buy my sea salt and vit c at

www.vitacost.com

I buy the 26oz Real Salt

Ester C with bioflavinoids 8oz powder by American Health.

You can also get more info at lymestrategies because these are the people using salt/c.

Also go to the search bar at the tope of the page and type in salt/c. There should be plenty of info there,

Gael

glm - thanks so much for responding. I will pm you probably sometime soon.

My pcp wants some labs done before I start, and during. kidney function was one, can't remember the rest. What labs did you have before starting and during treatment? How often?

I just want to make sure she has them all covered as she is not an llmd. She is always very willing to learn more, and also very supportive of treatments I want to try.

I agree with getting the bloodwork. I did it

serious like for 4 mths. Because I knew my blood

sodium level was low. But it got up to high normal

on it. I did OJ and salt before bed, and before

starting treatment.

I'm really nervous about this. I'm so sick already. I know the side effects I may experience, I think that's what scares me the most.

I just have to try something, I don't get anywhere on antibiotics.

Pinelady - do you remeber what labs you had and how often?

I would just eat a little in my palm and see if you

react. It took away my nausea many times. It took

mine at least 4 months to go to high normal.

I reacted bad to salt. Initially good, then bad. Kidney pains, and got a long term tinitus from it. Then I got high blood pressure ONLY after intake of extra salt from salt/C.

Some people got damaged with it (kidneys usually). If you have osteoporosis or if osteoporosis run in your family, inform yourself before getting extra salt intake.

Having said that, I love electrolites. I take them very often and they do help my kidneys, I find. And now I'm in love with sodium bicarbonate, another type of salt. I'm rubbing that on my skin against dry skin, and using in my nose to prevent new colds.
