Tremors and many different types of muscle twitches and involuntary muscle movements such as myoclonus are very very common with Lyme and tickborne disease. The cause could be anything from a magnesium deficiency to lyme etc in the brain. And forget about most neurologists being any help.
Hubby's first symotoms were nausea, vomiting and dry heaves and a Parkinsonian tremor.
Depending on how long you have been sick and which mix of bacteria and viruses etc you have it could take a while before you see improvement in your symptoms.
Hang in there.

- It could be from the doxy on an empty stomach but, yes, MAGNESIUM at Bea suggests has been my best helper to settle tremors.
I might wait until your stomach is a bet better from your having taken doxy w/out food. Be sure to always take doxy with food and soon you can add magnesium (you can order topical magnesium or take a WARM - not hot - bath with EPSON SALTS to absorb magnesium through your skin which is really easier on your stomach. Even soaking your feet in warm water with Epson Salts can help.
. . . but for now, I'd drink lots of warm herbal (caffeine-free) tea - or even hot water.
Try to avoid stimulating activities, even most TV. PBS or some travel DVDs might be good and will not blow your mind as most commercial TV can do.
Be sure to eat 5-6 small balanced meals a day. Your blood sugar could be dropping. Hope you feel better soon. -

Magnesium (as magnesium citrate, taurinate, malate, glycinate and succinate)
Mag citrate is good, but be careful about taking too much, as it can cause loose stools.
Start with 200 mg of magnesium daily, and work up to 800 mg daily, in divided doses. That's for starters.
BTW, "topical" means applied to the skin.
Epsom Salts contain magnesium chloride, which is absorbed through the skin.
You can find directions online for an Epsom Salts bath.

My LLMD says Glycinate is the best - Albion Labs. All others aren't that effective, except for laxative issues. No two LLMDs agree. lol. Dr B said Mag-Tab SR.

I tremble and shake like crazy. My teeth chatter, I have trouble using a mouse because my hands shake. It's much worse when I am tired.
I take calmag, but that may not be enough.
LLMD says it is common symptom of neuro lyme, which he says I have.
My budget only allows for minimal supplements...so which to choose???
