I'm back on low dose Doxy, yeah, I know need to be on a stronger dose.

I'm going to Doctor today about it.

Big mystery is that on Friday, I noticed a weird rash on the right side of my chest.

Resembled the solid red rash I first had along with the bulls eye.

This rash was smaller, about 3-4 in across. Red. Blanched to touch. [cussing]

No pain, no itching. Slight tingling sensation when I touched it.

I took a pic with my cell phone that I plan to show the Doc today.

It lasted 48+ hours.

During that time, my equilibrium was off.

I suspect this is just more of the same but I was wondering if anyone else has had a recurring rash like the one described and exactly what is causing it besides Lyme?

I don't know if my cell phone will allow me to download to my comp. It's a new cell phone.

The doctor was able to visualize it and did put me back on high dose doxy. I'm going back on my stricter diet and he's going to re-evaluate me in two weeks. I told him I wanted him to hit this hard over the winter months. Frankly, I'm tired of it and if the symptoms are coming back, it means it's not knocked down yet, period. My logic states that with the winter here, it's the perfect time to be on long term, high dose Doxy. One round of it helped me immensely last fall but I got H1N1 and had to forgo the Doxy in order to fight the horrible bronchitis I got with Cipro and Augmentin. I'm back to square one thanks to the flu. Frustrated to pieces and ready to do whatever it takes to get this under control once and for all.

I am now on 200 mg BID.

I told my doctor I wanted to stay on it at that dosage until the symptoms were gone and then two months after that.

I was symptom free when I got the H1N1 after just one month at this dosage.

That was after several months of taking the standard 100 mg BID with only mild relief of symptoms.

He is taking this seriously. Not LLMD but getting that way.

He is following Dr. B's guidelines.

There is an LLMD in Mo.But my pocketbook is Doctor poor at the moment.

Told my Doctor I could only afford to be in debt to one Doc at a time and he was it. [Smile]

He thought that was funny and started reading.

Nemo, I think you're extremely fortunate to have a doc that's cooperating with you. I know exactly how you feel regarding being in debt to one doctor at a time... Great point to verbalize.

Don't forget to take your probiotics and also get some yeast fighting meds from your doc; Nystatin or Diflucan, as you will need them.

Best of everything to you.

Happy New Year!

I am taking Acidophilus and chugging down yogurt.

Our Amish neighbor gave me a pint of home made yogurt for Christmas.

You can just taste the good bacteria in it.

She also gave me home made granola to eat with the yogurt over sliced or shredded apples.

I was dubious until I tried it.

It's delicious.

I have trouble with getting a yeast infection under my upper partial plate when I am on ABTS.

Frustrating and almost impossible to get rid of even with Nystatin lozenges.

Anyone know any homeopathic, herbal remedies for this?
