Anybody on any IM antibiotics besides Bicillin? I'm allergic to penicillin and want to try something different besides oral abx. I may just have to do the picc thing if Bicillin is the only IM abx. Thanks for your help.

I think some people do Rocephin (a cephalosporan) in IM form...but I'm not sure how effective it is.

I've heard that IM Rocephin is far less effective than taking it via IV, but it is an option. You could try IM Rocephin and see if it works for you.
If not, then you could move up to IV.
I'm currently on IV Rocephin and very happy with it.

Ceftriaxone, gentamycin . There are many others, you can easily check by looking it up on drugs.com

Minocycline has an IM form as well.
