OK where are all the Artemesinin Buddies?? Need you help!!

Added a morning dose of 100 mg Art - and am already feeling more flu-like, shivering, horribly fatigued, heading for bed.

Any suggestions other than 'detox'? Anyone else experience this? Does it go away?? Thanks!!

Sounds like a good ole herx or die off. That's good.

I get the chills usually in the evening and get some sweats also when going through this.

It will pass and hopefully you will feel better.

I guess the old saying is, " You got to feel worse before feeling better" would apply.

Seems like it is working for you.

I've been taking Artesunate for a week not and have been having the same symptoms as you. I have pretty much been bed ridden for a week. The fatigue is crusing. I have absolutely 0 energy. My body feels like lead.

Is Artesunate the same as Artemesinin? I'm miserable but keep taking it...i too am wondering when it will end...

I am taking artemisinin.

It can be very effective, but you should not take it alone; it should be in combination with another anti-malarial to prevent the bug from adapting.

I have had huge herxes from artemisinin over the years. It can be hugely effective. Keep with it.

Best of Luck,
Mary

Thanks all! I had a bad 'reaction' to Malarone so this is only a starting point. Good luck to everyone.

I am currently taking 600mg of artemesinin with 1000mg tidamax, 500mg zithromax, 1000mg ceftin, and resveratrol. I haven't had that many Herxs at all. Many say this is not a good sign. But my LLMD said that I'm doing just fine! Everyones body reacts differently to Lyme treatment.
