I just started tapering off my Malerone dose from 4 pills down to 3. and eventually off. Have been on them for 9 months.

I am not sure what to expect, but now I have horrible nausea for 3 days, and feel terrible with inflamation and pressure type head ache.

could this be from just going down one pill or the sugar (I don't normally eat) I had on New Year's Eve.

I have no good experience with going off abx, and have been mostly on them for 2 years.

Ugh, I am miserable! [Frown]

A sugar binge can make me feel this way.

So does babesia.

Biaxin made me very nausious! I believe meds can cause it and so can Lyme and co's.

babesia can cause nausea and headache...so if it doesn't go away in a couple of days, I would think it's babs rather than the sugar binge.

If you are still having these symptoms in a couple of days, you might ramp back up and see if the symptoms go away. Then you will know.
