My appt went well today, Mr b the man himself was there in his old office visiting the PA.
Mr B. is a very nice man. We all talk and looked at my huge MRI's, bloodwork, scat scans, bone scan, lymnd nodule scan.
the PA, took a culture of my nose and the back of my throat for the lab., he also took about 26 things on the lab sheet that he want to test for.
my insurance will pay for the bloodwork.
I didnt do the igenex bloodwork today, i told him i was on doxy for a month, so he told me come back in 10 days. i was incontrolled of what i want to have done, and when.
i know i shouldnt do this but i spread it out to meet up with my next SSID Payment so i can have money a good amount of money on hand.
i made an appt. for the bloodwork on 2/1/
i guess, i waited this long, and i have to go according to my budget.
the PA and dr. b. saw my iron is low they talk it over, and the PA., put me on half of a tablet that is call iodoral.
There are so much SUPPLEMENTS IN THAT OFFICE.
the PA,me, and mr b. talk and talk and talk, we got along so well, that i dont get this with my regular pcp, i guess i got my moneys worth.
mr b had to leave.
he said to us happy new year and was out the door.
we continued our conversation, and i was giving alprazolam .25mg for my anxieity, and something call amantadine 100mg, for uncontrolled muscle movements.
I mean Dr. B is Dr. B right, he still is a MD even though he closed his practice. The Dr. B that lymenet has posted Dr. B's guidelines, is that who you are talking about?

Yes, if Dr B is opening another practice thousands would like to know. I personally think he could do more for ALL by continuing his studies/research.

b dont have an office there, the man is of importance. look like he has plenty things he has to go do.
dr M the big one in charge was out of the office, the only one that was seeing patients was the PA J.
I havent anything to report i havent done the igenex test till 2/1....its a money thing...
im on disability, after i pay my rent, what ever is left stays there till the new month, then i do the blood work....one step, and one day at a time.
i told the PA, he will have to work around my finance, he agreed, he was calm, cool, and maybe scare of me cause i'm black.....im playing...just kidding folks...im just lollll

Good to hear of the cameo appearance by none other than Dr. B.
Hope all goes well.

this may be in old posts. But why did Dr. B retire? He looks fairly young to me. I've been wondering that.

- He may have had some personal or family matters requiring attention but basically it was the battle and cost of legal protection.
Not wanting to misquote or even speak for him - so I think this is what I heard in the film:
In the final cut of the film "Under Our Skin" Dr. B explained that he just could not face the mountain of pressure and legal battle every step of the way.
The IDSA and the insurance industries force many good ILADS LLMDs out. It is vicious.
ILADS LLMDs are harassed with tremendous pressure and even threats from IDSA members (who have their own agendas) and the insurance companies (which do not want to cover the cost of patience treatments).
The price of malpractice insurance is through the roof and with every trumpted up accusation, tens (or hundreds) of thousands of dollars in legal fees to defend their license privileges.
Rather than the the IDSA or Insurance companies who file false charges having to pay to prove their accusation, it's the innocent defendant LLMD who must pay dearly in many respects to defend their honor.
He is by far not the only ILADS LLMD to face the angry IDSA mob. Be sure to see the film "Under our Skin."
