Was looking to get opinions/experiences on the topic of minor sugery during lyme tx.
I know the connection between any stress to the body and lyme so I am a bit hesitiant to undergo a sinus procedure that my ENT is recommending to do. I keep putting it off..
I see my LLMD in a couple of weeks so I will get his feedback but until then I was wondering what some of your thoughts and/or experiences are regarding undergoing minor surgery during lyme tx. Thanks! TG

I did well for day surgery last summer--but I was also stable last summer and was not under any abx or major herbal treatment.
I also did well with major dental/amalgam removal over time -again was not under abx treatment/herxing etc. Not well-but functional at the time.

Ask for no steroids in your anesthesia, and for extra recovery time if you need it.
I've had 2 major surgeries with Lyme - and some minor procedures.
Recovery was a bit slower than it might have been without Lyme and TBDs, but all in all... not too bad.
I think if this will help you - go for it, and plan to minimize any possible problems (like steroids!) with good planning.
Good luck deciding!

I forgot to add that I had felt better than in years the after the surgery and I slept through the night like a log without waking-which I don't remember doing in a very long time. I got up 9am and took my daughter shopping for a whole day/felt great.
Not sure if it was the small dose of IV abx (first abx I had had in over 13 years)they gave me or the anesthesia and the effect on a good nights sleep. The 2nd day after though I was back to brain fog and feeling not so great.
