Not feeling any worse generally, and generally feeling slightly better.
5 days ago, I had nodules pop up on the joints of my left fingers.
My hands were swollen, red and lumpy looking.
The nodules are tender to the touch but not particularly painful although both of my hands and body joints are in general pretty sore right now.
My doctor suspects RA along with the "L" word and has been after me to start Plaquinel.
My husband wants me to go to a rheumatologist.
DON'T WANNA!!!!
I'm an eye doctor's wife and know the nasty things this drug can do to your eyes.
I have no desire to go blind.
I also have no desire to hurt the way I have been.
My finger dexterity is down, slow and awkward.
Warm soaks and analgesics help.
I've been reading about Lyme causing nodules in joints, along with RA and how Lyme can cause RA.
Right now I just want lasting relief so I'm not dependent on large dose ASA and Ultram.
I guess most of all I just needed to vent and rant a bit.
Thanks for listening everyone.

The nodules/bumps on your hand sounds like a bart rash. Talk to your doctor, see if you can get tested for bart.

Bartonella and rarely Babesia as well as
mycoplasma's can cause the hand nodules. As well as
gout. It might have been helpful to have a biopsy
if worried about them but I don't think it Rheumi-remedied.
