Leigh, I used Zithro (PO) and did not tolerate it as it can cause an increase in GI motility and there is nothing you can do but stop the drug when this happens. I have a friend on Zithro though and it works great for her with minimal side effects compared to some of the other 'heavy hitters'. Good luck.

Thanks for letting me know. I would be using the IV form (I have atrophic gastritis and malabsorption and have to take lots of meds for other problems), so fortunately for me the GI effects would be minimized.
Were you using the Zithro for Bart, or as combo therapy for Lyme/mycoplasma? Just wondering....thanks again.
