I am fairly new on treatment & was wondering how I should be pulsing flagyl, my dc never told me to. So far I am only able to tolerate 500mg 1x day @ night. Also I am on doxy 2x & plaqunil 1x. What dosage is best for 200 mg plaqunil 1x. Originally given by rheumatologist for athritis.

Dr. Burrascano's October 2009 conference touched on Flagyl pulsing. Here's the report from

Flagyl requires a 2 week consistent dosing to be effective. 2 week pulses may be used. Vitamin B may be given to help reduce neuropathies seen with Flagyl administration.

I don't anything about plaqunil. Hope this helps,

btw--i dont pulse abx. My LLMD hasnt brought that up, and he's been treating for 20 years. However, i got soo nauseous and air hunger (likely babesia flares) after 3 weeks of 250 mg x 2/day, that i had to rest for a week.

I am now back on and 2 weeks in, no nausea! But i have serious neuropathies...time for my IM B shot.
