I think it depends on where your pain is. If the pain is in the back of side of your thigh, it could be sciatica.

Mine is on the front of thighs. My pain doc says it usually means infection in the body if it is on the front.
Try a heating pad or a hot bath. I also use pain patches. I wear a back brace if I am to be on my feet for awhile. Be sure to avoid standing for too long at a time....keep a chair handy for rests.

I do a bit of stretching out in the swimmng pool of all the muscles, and this has lessened pain. That, and a good chiropractor.

Hmm. I get pain in the front of my legs too. My doctor said that it was probably just muscle pain related to Lyme.
