First of all, I am so grateful for this site and everyone's guidance.
I was dx'd last month (ELISA + started 400 mg/day oral doxy on 12/24.
Day 5 through 9 of abx, I developed terrible chills and fatigue which I've since learned is a herx. (New vocabulary word for me) Those symptoms have stayed but simmered down.
Then, today, day 26 of treatment (who's counting?!) I suddenly felt severe chills, a loud ringing in my ears, and felt like I was on the verge of throwing up and collapsing.
My ? is: Could this be a herx to a new cycle of the bacteria (am I correct in understanding that they reproduce every 3-4 wks)? Has anyone experienced this?
p.s. I feel a bit better now - besides the usual LD symptoms.

When I start a new abx I usually herx starting on day five.
The first few months I was on doxy I herxed every three weeks. They slowly faded away.
Good luck!
