I was wondering should it be a mini-trampoline or will a bigger one in the yard do as well? I thought maybe just the smaller one for convienance?

I got the small one. Fits in my room or I can slide it under my bed.

I bought a small one last spring that has hand rails. Safer for me since I am in my early 60's. I love it and it has been helping me get my energy back.

Smaller ones are much better for lymphatic drainage. Stabilizing bar can be helpful.
Ankles / feet / knees / back can be injured by cheap ones.

I think you can do a lot more, like somersaults, dropping on your knees & boucing back up, dropping on your butt and bouncing back up, etc, with the large one but it was expensive.
Ours was rectangular but I think they mass produced large round trampolines years ago. We saw them everywhere but not so much lately.

I will say made extremely well, too. I was a machinist for 10 years.

I had one of the small round ones.
Unfortunately, I have degenerated discs in my lower back.
These got terribly aggravated by bouncing on the trampoline, and I ended up in bed in very bad pain for quite a few days!!!
Although it's not exercise, an inversion table is better for me!!!!!
Best,

I have a Needak also. It is the best one ever made in my opinion and worth every penny I spent on it.
