Last week I started getting pain in my upper abdomen a little below the rib cage.

When I saw my LLMD Thursday, I mentioned it to him. My LLMD does ART and he said my lyme was in my gut.

Is this liver maybe? I always worry with all the stuff I'm taking.

I am also rifing.

I have had this symptom the whole time I have been ill. For me it is located around the liver area. It comes and goes.

I have 3 liver cyst, but every doctor says they are not a problem. I also had a gallbladder workup and everything there looked good.

I do think it is lyme in the gut, causing inflammation. It feels very uncomfortable, like there isn't enough room for all my organs.

I have had the rib and under the rib pain on the left side since about a month into the illness. Rarely now, but still comes during flares. My MD said maybe it was the Doxycycline and GI issues....but I have been off oral abx for 6 months. My abdominal ultrtasound showed normal spleen, so we never had an answer as to why-but lots have posted here that they had this as well.

I have had this pain as well and it seems to be a muscle spasm. I had my physical therapist treat it with myofascial release and it has helped some.

My LLMD told me bartonella was the cause.

Ribcage pain is very common. Make sure you are getting regular CBC blood tests while in treatment so your doctor can catch any liver inflammation early.

Are you taking Milk thistle for liver protection? If you aren't, start. It will protect your liver against the onslaught of medications.

Take care.
