I'm on Dr. Z's HH (not double strength), and my shins broke out in rashes. It's my third day on it, and I had a herx like reaction and a fever today while at the doctor. During the herx, I feel disconnected from myself, feel anxious, and then end up sleeping much of the day. Not a viral illness as fever went away. [Smile]

These aren't all new rashes. Some rashes came back that I previously treated with hydrocortisone (a steroid, I know), and many more rashes and some red spots. Mildly itchy, but if I don't scratch them they don't bother me.

Is the rash like hives, or tiny little red pimples? I have gotten the tiny little red pimples lately too, and I've been trying to determine what it is.

More like tiny red pimples with a rash surrounding them. They are actually more like tiny lesions as they aren't really raised. Again, it's not something that alarms me, and don't think it's hives as I've seen it before on my shins while taking nothing for treatment. It's nothing that I would go to a doctor for, just curious if anyone else gets this. I have hairy legs, and when my skin is dry, it's not too noticeable. When my skin is wet, it is noticeable.

My daughter (19)gets a rash like that on her legs. It is purpura and she was diagnosed with HSP which is a disorder of the IgA part of your red blood cells. A couple of years ago she had the same rash and low platelet counts and they diagnosed her with ITP which is a platelet disorder and involves the IgB part of red blood cells. You could look into those.

I have been reading some of these posts trying to learn about my symptoms, and now I wonder if my daughter also has Lyme. She has ADD, she has sleep disturbances and insomnia, she has the two disorders I mentioned above, and she will have low grade fevers for sometimes weeks. She is always exhausted and has no energy or motivation. I never considered Lyme before!
