Whatever I have has gotten to the point that I am miserable. 4 years ago, I was tested for Lyme and Ms, as well as other things, because I was miserably sick and weak. My Lyme test came back with the Lyme AB screen at 1.02, equivocal. My western blot only showed the 41 kd as reactive. It was left at that- and I was diagnosed with Fibro by my GP, which last year the Rheumy told me he doesn't think I have.

Now, 4 years later, still weak and tired, but now have I have facial pain, numbness, etc. All of my MRI's, MRA's, CT scans come back normal. Should I request retest for Lyme? I don't know where to go at this point. Thanks for your time!

I would suggest you find an LLMD (Lyme literate MD) and get testing done.

Not all docs are created equal, and many non-LLMDs do not believe in Lyme, nor do they know how to find it and treat it. It is a clinical diagnosis, so you need a good clinician familiar with the disease, to do the diagnosing for you.

Go to seeking a doctor section and post; someone will send you some names of LLMDs in your area.

GOOD LUCK!

So sorry you are ill!

Lyme Disease is a "clinical diagnosis". Only a good LLMD can make that diagnosis. The test for LD are very inaccurate and are used only to back up the clinical diagnosis.

YES!!!!! Retest for Lyme, with a GOOD lab such as Igenex!! Find an LLMD right away. You've lost a lot of time.

and YES! Lyme is a clinical diagnosis.

I'm sure you'll have more bands show up when you use a good lab.

PS>. Equivocal means a weak POSITIVE.
