I recently started a new abx combo - flagyl/mino

along w/mepron 5 months and diflucan 4xper week

Had to go off flagyl due to horrible reaction and

don't seem to be having problems w/mino except

my fingers and toes go bright red. I live in

Vancouver so currently sun is not an issue. Any

ideas.

I should have guessed you'd be the only one to

answer. We must be on the same wave length. Go

figure. I'll take my red fingers to the dentist

now.

JOLA - I was on 400 mg mino for a few years and don't remember anything like the event you're describing. Did you start Mepron the same time as mino? Could be the Mep.

BTW, Last I saw in the pkg insert and also heard from my pharmacist, Mepron can reduce the effectiveness of mino by 40% or better if you take the meds too close together. Might want to pay attention to timing of the doses.

Mercury poisoning

Common symptoms of mercury poisoning include
peripheral neuropathy (presenting as paresthesia or itching, burning or pain),

skin discoloration (pink cheeks, fingertips and toes),
edema (swelling), and
desquamation (dead skin peels off in layers).
