Hello, I have had Lyme and the co-infection Babesia (sp?) for about 14 years now. To make a very long story short I have been on various antibiotics over the years and have seen some improvement but I still have many symptoms (extreme pain, fatigue, cognitive problems, and many more).
Recently I have been taking Arteminisin and other herbal supplements since the antibiotics were no longer helping.
My question is what has helped other people?

Most say that you need something like zith to go along with the artemisinin or you will quickly develop resistance to it.
There are many threads here about using herbals for lyme and co's. I'm not well-versed in that. So check out the SEARCH function and go thru the most recent pages on herbs.
There is ALWAYS a discussion on them around here!

I got rid of lyme with amoxicillin and flagyl.
I got rid of babesiosis with Bactrim DS plus pulsed artimesinin.
I also followed the Burrascano exercise program which my lyme doc said was essential if I were ever to get rid of these diseases.
I also ate raw garlic or Kyolic daily, stayed on an anti-yeast diet, did not smoke or drink, no caffeine, drank kefir daily, and ate lemons daily. I took various supplements as needed including CoQ10, magnesium, sublingual vitamin B, and Transfer Factor.
It is nearly 5 years now since I completed my lyme treatment (including babs and bart) and I am still symptom-free, enjoying my life--the same life I had before lyme disease.
The Burrascano protocol did it for me.
