I started taking Biaxin and it causes terrible diaherra. It is so bad that I am not able to leave the house. Whenever I feel like I can go to my LLMD I am going to ask him for advice.
Does anyone have any ideas how to control so I can still keep taking it?

I used Dr. Ohhira's Probiotic 12 Plus (original formula). Takes about 2 weeks to get full benefit.
It works wonders. I heard about it from my llmd. google dr. Ohhiras---its expensive, but worth it imo.

I have been taking Biaxin for 6 weeks and have had no digestive problems. The only real side effect I have form it is a metallic taste in the mouth which I have heard is quite common. I guess different medications affect people differently.

Biaxin causes intestinal transit to speed up, that may be part of the problem. You could have c.diff though, get checked. You may need a different drug.

I didn't have that problem on Biaxin at all. On it for 4 months. I think we all react differently.
