I really did nt want to try it because my nervous system is effected by the lyme and i already have alot of the posible side effects as symptoms (tremors, lightheadness ect)

the the pain has been more than i can stand and i took muscle relaxers and it made it worse...

so any expereinces if it helped or made you worse would be very much appreciated.

thank you [Smile]

I had/have severe nerve pain. Lyrica did not really touch it: I am taking massive doses of Neurontin (you start gradually) in combination with a tricyclic antidepressesant (I take Elavil) to improve the Neurontin's effectiveness. You can also try Tramadol with the Neurontin. Also, I take Magnesium and eat a bunch of cabbage (raw or lightly cooked) and that does help. Also B12, and benfotiamine (a b vitamin that is lipid soluble.) Keep looking and trying things: different combs work for different people.

Lyrica actually did "dull" the pain for me a little. I took 75mg 3x a day.

Also, just remember: the pain CAN be controlled. Mine was more than I could stand for quite a while, and I went to a very very dark place mentally and emotionally: if that happens please reach out to friends or people here for support: you can always pm me. You WILL get through it, and it WILL get controlled.

My LLMD prescribed Lyrica for my facial and head tingling and creepy crawlies. I'm a bit scared to take it too. I don't have pain per se - just tingling and creepy crawlies and mild head pressure. Thoughts on if Lyrica will help?

I tried low doses recently at night only to try to improve my sleep.

After 2 weeks my head and neck pain that had improved by 50% was back to square one...100% pain.

I knew it had to be the Lyrica, so I discontinued it and it took 3 days for the pain to return to the 50% improved point.
