I've been taking doxycycline for 4 weeks, i just read that you are not suppose to take doxy at the same time as taking calcium supplements... That is what i have been doing....Has that affected my treatment?

Why not call your pharmacist and ask this question. Then, let us know what he says.

I'm very sure you are not the only one to have done this. We could all benefit from the answer from a pharmacist.

I'm new at this, but when I was put on doxy I called my pharmacy and was told as long as they were taken 2 hours apart that would be fine, also not to take antacids as they bind with the doxy making it less effective.
