If you do, does it make you feel better?
My liver has a really bad time detoxing, I detox about 3x slower than the normal person and I have some things pop up on some genetic testing which showed my liver is not in the greatest shape. My doctor feels this is what is holding me back.

IMO flushing is for toilets not livers.
Like beating a tired horse to run faster.

I used to do these...don't know if it actually works though. I got the tiny green things...but i think they were just the olive oil. The epsom salts made me weak and dizzy, messed with me since I have NMH. Who knows.

I had a lot of symptom relief with the flushes. I did 5 of them and saw significantly fewer "stones" with the last one so did no more.
I did feel bad during the flushes from the fasting and diarrhea from the epsom salts, but afterward had symptom relief.

- It's a good point: a "flush" is for a toilet or a car radiator - not for a body organ.
Liver SUPPORT is best. Ongoing, liver care by diet and support with milk thistle, etc.
A "flush" is too much stress not just for the liver but other body systems. If your diet has enough bulk and you have liver support with certain supplements, and you can take a warm bath, gently exercise - all that should be enough for your liver. (Oh, and avoid acetaminophen.)
It's not a filter that you can run under water and say it's all clear. -

I personally feel good about the flushes. I've done 15 of them over the last several months. I got many spoons full of stones/chaff the first few times.
The last couple of flushes have only produced a very few stones. That tells me that I've hopefully about gotten the liver/gallbladder cleaned out!
May eventually only do a few flushes a year for maintenance.
I've never experienced any pain passing the stones. It's never made me sick. I always feel better after doing them once I get my strength up by getting some food back in my system.
I'd like to think these flushes, as well as zapping for parasites, has helped me stay feeling as well as I have through the last year or so.
I'm certainly no liver expert, but I know it's the largest filter the body has. If it's stopped up with parasites, toxins, and sludge, stones, etc., it makes sense to me that it needs cleaning out, not just "supporting".
I take many supplements for liver health though. These are just my personal observations. If these flushes are dangerous, I certainly can't tell it.
I've been desperate to get to feeling better for 3 years now, and I've done these flushes with the hope that they will make a big difference.
Well, now I think I have lyme. I wish I could "flush" it out as easily as cleaning up the liver, but that ain't gonna happen, huh?

Thanks Keebler. I didn't check all the links but it's nice to hear this from someone that obviously has done some research. I have been told to do this liver detox thing and it just doesn't seem natural to me to drink a bunch of oil or whatever it is one does.

The chlamydia can be almost like a co-infection to lyme and it causes almost the same problems.

It's my understanding that once the flushes have been done (and for most people it will take several), then just a few maintenance flushes a year should keep everything running smoothly.
As I said earlier, I started last summer, getting MANY stones and crud with the first few flushes. Now lately, with the last couple of flushes, I've only gotten a scattering few.
That tells me that I'm about through with the every 2-3 week interval flushes,and that the liver is about cleaned out.
I was 50 years old when I started to flush. That a lot of time for stuff to accumulate! Now hopefully, a flush every month or less may do.
I stepped out on faith with this.It's all been trial and error, as well as doing lots of reading on the subject.
Would a healthy liver need flushed? I'd think YES! For the sake of preventive maintenance. My 56 year old cousin was healthy, having no symptoms, yet he did one mainly out of curiosity. He got out several stones, painlessly.
He has been an ultrasound technician for years. He's seen the gallstones, and all the surgeries to remove the gallbladders.
He's the one who told me about the flushes. He said that he read that over in Europe somewhere that they DON'T remove gallbladders. The patient drinks some oil/juice and they pass them in their stools!
Gallbladder surgery is one of the most common surgeries in America!! People are told that the gallbladder isn't needed.
But once it's removed, many suffer with chronic diarrhea, because the bile is dripping directly into the intestine instead of into the gallbladder.
I'd rather clean it out and keep it! :-)
