Well, I my Doc. received my lab work back today from LabCorp.
Two bands showed up.
IGG p58 IGM p23
I was expecting a sure enough positive WB with the way I have been feeling. My vitamin D was low (20ng/mL) so I am being put on prescription vit.D. The doc. said he will go over everything in detail when I meet with him in 3 weeks. I know that IGM 23 is Lyme specific, but not sure about IGG 58.

Yes, band 23 is lyme specific.
Dr C says that band 58 is significant in his opinion. Dr B does not include band 58 as significant.
It sounds like you have read enough to know that you don't need an offically positive WB to have lyme....although your Dr probably won't know that if he's not a LLMD.
Also, Labcorp does not test for all bands.
If you have a history and symptoms consistent with lyme, I would now find a LLMD if you have not already.
Most importantly, lyme is a clinical diagnosis and you would also need a good eval for coinfections.

Thanks, DeKrator. I am currently seeing a LLMD and I guess we just take one step at a time. I have an extensive history of tick bites from working in the woods and have been dealing with mostly neurological symptoms for about 4 months. Thanks for the response.

KYForester my D was at a total of 11 when discovered.
You may want to do some research into the D if you have not started treatment yet.
I had to start low and slow as I went severe neuro on prescription dosage D.

Prescription D is like taking an antibiotic. I have been on it for 4 weeks and the last week I have been having a very hard time. Feels like a major herx. The only thing I have added is D.

Ironically I guess they culture the borrelia to the best of their ability in Milk.

KYforester - I just got my W.B. back too ( from ARUP ) and had IgG 41 and IgM 23.
At my Lyme support group last night I spoke with the MD that is the consulting physician for our group.
She said they have found IgM 23 to be indicative of chronic lyme and when you have had Lyme a while the other bands seem to fade away.
Am thinking I have had it for about 8-10 yrs when I mysteriously began losing my hearing and having alot of knee problems and was only in my late 30's, have now lost 60% of hearing in both ears.
And of course said I should follow up with a Igenex W.B. which I plan on doing soon.

KYforester, does your name mean you got lymed in KY forestry? Hasn't anyone told you the ticks in KY don't carry lyme & company?

Pam's trying to joke with you Forester.
Actually incidence has been found in some ticks to be over 40% so if you really are a forestry worker
your chances are very high to contract Lyme disease along with what ever else those ticks were carrying.

Actually, I am originally from KY and have my degree in forestry from UK. One of my forestry professors in college contracted lyme while I was attending school there. I also went to school with someone in NKY that contracted it as well.
However, I have come across several dr's in the south including KY that will argue lyme does not exist south of OH. Thanks for the laugh.
Anyhow, I'm not sure where I contracted it. I've spent time in forests in KY, MI, WI, most recently in TX & AL. I started feeling not like myself while in east TX.
I've been bitten so many times, who knows where it came from. I never did have the "bullseye" rash that is indicative of lyme.

Hey KY! My brother has a forestry degree from Stephen F. Austin in Nacogdoches...
and I was bitten in TX... Lyme not found south of OH, huh!!?? I guess I'm dreaming!
