So lately i have been constipated so my primary care refered me to a gastro doc who wanted to do a colonoscopy based on blood when i go .. I think becasue of hemorids. I do not want a colonoscopy scared of anitstia

When i spoke with my GP he understood and said a Barum enima shows tumors cancer etc, but it wont show inflamation? So he said the Enema would work

what do you think

Get a colonoscopy, the barium enema only shows the bottom portion of your colon, not the entire thing. Anesthesia for a colonoscopy is not strong, its like twilight sleep, not a big deal.

Get the colonoscopy. Nothing to it except the prep of cleaning out the colon. Cleaning out the colon completely is a good thing.

I agree, worst part of colonoscopy is the prep.
