Sorry if this is long, but this seems like a great site with great people and I ccould really use some advice. Thankyou in adavance. I am coming to you all because I have been having problems myself. I'm sorry this may be a bit of a long mail, but I hope maybe you can help me in some way. I was a healthy person up until August of last year. I came back from vacation in California and about a week afer had some sort of attack or spell. After eating I felt very light headed and weak and broke out in a cold sweat. My body started tingling all over and my mouth dried up. I thought I was having some sort of heart attack or something and felt like I was having trouble breathing. I went to the ER and they said it was dehydration as my blood pressure was low as well. I drink a lot of fluids and did not really believe them, but they gave me IV fluids and sent me home. The next day I was a bit better, just weak. The morning after that I woke up with muscle cramps all over my body especially in my calves. The muscles in my upper legs were moving byt hemselves as if someone were poking at them. Once again I went to the ER, I was vomiting a bit as well, but had no fever. They did a CT scan of my head to check for a bleed and saw nothing and said I may have gotten some sort of virus or bug on the plane ride home. After this I was ok for awhile but still never felt myself, and still don't. One day about a month to a month and a half later I woke up with some stiffness in my neck and in my shoulders, especially my left shoulder. Two days later I woke up with a high pitched type ringing in my left ear that has not gone away since and is with me 24/7. My muscles and joints seem to stiffen up every now and then, but nothing like the first few times, but I do have days when they are stiff. My left arm is not how it used to be. Now my shoulder pops all the time and my elwbow sounds like rocks crunching together whenever I straighten my arm out to its fullest. I also have developed a vibration on the bottom of my left foot that is for the most part always present, especially at night while lying down and while sitting. The vibration does not hurt it feels like an electrical impulse or something. I also have a low bosdy temperature which is lowest in the morning sometimes as low as 94 degrees and the highest it ever really goes is up to 97 degrees, but this is rare. I was tested for both Thyroid and Lymes upon my first ER visit and it came back as negative. I have been to many doctors and they cannot explain anything to me. My question is, should I have another Lymes Test? Does this sound like possible Lymes? I never had a Bullseye rash. I did however notice though that I have a pimple like mosquito bite on my right forearm that never goes away, and has been there for at least 5 months, maybe longer as I cannot truly recall. It does not hurt but it is itchy and never fully goes away, I do not have a bump like thise anywhere else, sometimes it's flat ans sometime it puffs up a bit. Does this mean anything perhaps? I really need some advice as I have not been myself in some time now. Please respond to this, I need help really bad as I fear I will only get worse. Thankyou, your advice and input means so much to me...

Also, just want to mention that ever since all of this started I have also had clear thick mucus that I cough up daily, Its not a hacking cough just more like I just have to clear my throat.

Hi Dretta - breaking this up for easier reading -

I suggest you make a post in SeekingADoctor for a Lyme-treating doctor near you.

Be aware that not everyone who has Lyme and co-infections tests positive for them, so people are treated clinically, by history and symptoms, which you have.

If you were to do a Lyme test, the IgM and IgG Western blot antibody test through IGeneX lab is a good way to go. www.IGeneX.com - they can send you a free test kit.

I think there needs to be a symptom discussion here about whether you should test for any of the co-infections too.
