I called this place today and I am considering going. I have read as much as I could of Gary's thread regarding his experience there, undoubtedly a life changing one. My eyes are bothering me these days. Anyway, I am hoping to hear from anyone out there regarding their experience with the Hansa Center if they have attended for whatever length of time. If I go, it will be in April. Thank you to all in advance for your responses. P.S. I was diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis in 2000. I did not take conventional medicine for this diagnosis. In 2008, I was diagnosed with Lyme's disease. For the past two years, I have been confined to a wheel chair because I couldn't walk without pain. Now my knees have contracted. I have been taking the typical ABX since being diagnosed.

I have gone twice in 2009. February was for the two weeks they recommend and then one week in August. I enojoyed both visits and felt they did more for me than anyone else. I would go again if I could afford it.
Yes, they are expensive. I always make the case that if you didn't have medical coverage, then the Hansa Center's prices are actually not any more expensive than a regular doctor's visit. However, the Hansa Center is not covered by insurance, thus the appearance of high charges.
My experiences were very positive and I'm happy I went. Great staff and lots of caring. And while Kansas is flat, the area of Wichita they are in is actually not a bad place to stay. If you go in April, it shouldn't be too hot yet. August for me was though. Ugh.
The Hansa Center will also provide you references that you can call on the phone if you want to talk to some previous patients. Maybe they have someone with similar symptoms that you can speak to.

snagirl, I've sent you a pm with a link to someone on another forum who did this protocol with great success.
You can contact her from the link I gave you and she'll be glad to answer your questions and refer you to others who have had success with the Hansa Center treatments.
Feel free to ask questions here or pm me if you'd like.

- snagirl,
I know you said you read Gary's thread but, for those reading this who have not and wish to do so, it is listed at the very bottom of this post. Relevant article: ---------------
BIOCHEMISTRY OF LYME DISEASE: BORRELIA BURGDORFERI SPIROCHETE / CYST
by Prof. Robert W. Bradford and Henry W. Allen
EXCERPTS:
. . . A discovery of great importance relating to a toxin produced by the causative agent of Lyme disease, Borrelia burgdorferi, has been linked to a similar toxin produced by the organism Clostridium botulinum (botulism) *. . . .
[extensive explanation of:]
* Lyme Disease Toxin . . .
* Action of Toxin . . .
* Dietary SUPPLEMENTS in Lyme Disease . . .

- Full article and great photos at link above.
(There is a caution, though, about one thing mentioned here: bismuth. Not a good idea. But this article has so much value, it is still important to read - just forget the bismuth as it can be very dangerous. This article has one of the best explanations of how lyme works.)

PM sent just now. Also, you can look up ott70 who's a member here and did the Jernigan protocol. He'll be glad to answer any questions you have as well.
