I can't say for certain, but foot pain is part of bartonella. It could be a herx.

Severe neurological problems. Probably sick for years. Became chronically sick in Aug 2007. Undiagnosed for another 15 months. Started treatment for lyme and bart Sept. 2008. Improving, but very slowly.

Foot pain can also be from a sluggish lymphatic system.

I had /have the exact same thing happen after 10 days of Levaquin.

Been a long distance runner for 20 some years and have never had any foot or plantar pain.

HAve had lyme off and on for the past six years and never foot pain.

For me I do not think it is a co-infection.

Had my Sports Med. doctor do an ultrasound and it seems the plantar ligament/tendon is inflammed but not torn.

I am considering mine a side effect of the levaquin... TG

I agree with Venus and 6Goofy this is Bart or Bart Herx and see Canefan's post on getting those feet up in the air part of each day
or during your 1 hr workouts (see Dr. B's guide).
I tried laying down with feet up in air for a few minutes after the workout and it did help with the sole of the foot pain.

Daniel,

Have you ever been tested for Fifths disease/parvovirus? While I was diagnosed with Lyme twice I never really had foot pain after the tick bites, but a few years ago I developed sever foot pain on the bottom of my feet when standing. I couldn't even be on my feet for a minute without it being excrutiating. My family doc sent my to a rheumatologist and I tested positive for an acute parvovirus infection. They knew it was acute as just about a year or two before during some tests run for Lyme there were also parvovirus test run and they were negative. The parvo was treated with mobic and after a few weeks it disappeared. At times I again get some mild foot pain again, but tylenol or mobic seems to treat it. I am still stuggling with other problems that I think are being caused by persistent LYme infection (allthough what doctor will believe and treat it as such is a struggle without being ridiculed), such as severe headaches, neck and upper back muscle cramps, severe fatigue and other things that seem to appear sporadically especially when I am not on an antibiotic( amazing when I am on an antibiotic for awhile all these things seem to clear up, yet doctors day it is not Lyme), but the foot pain seemed to be related to the parvovirus not the Lyme and cleared up with short term antiinflamatory drugs. See if you can be tested for the parvovirus. It is very common in children, but usually doesn't cause them many symptoms other than a rash on the face that looks like someone slapped them on the cheek, but in adults it can cause a temporary type of arthritis like inflamation. Sometimes the inflamation can return again, but it usually is not as severe as the acute infection. In my case maybe even a flare of the LYme bacteria reactivating irritates the parvovirus and causes me some foot pain again. Just something to look into.
