I recently decided to take a break from all my meds--zithromax, bicillin, mepron, armour thyroid, rifampin, diflucan--dr r in nyc agreed for me to take a break as id been feeling better--just felt toxic overall

this is day 3 and i just lied down and had this awfully scary vibration inside my head--it was almost like my brain was shaking back and forth--i got up and it subsided but it seems to happen most when lying down.. what is this?

any thoughts on it being from stopping meds?

I posted about this a couple of years ago. You can probably find it on a search.

I have been on Biaxin 3 times long term, coming off Biaxin is like a drug withdrawal for me. I can tell you it is NOT a herx or anything like it.

I have been told by my Md that the body can adjust and become use to anything. Look at coffee, seems benign, but people withdraw from it.

It takes me 2 weeks after stopping an abx to get back to baseline - it feels awful and is scarier than herxing.

I asked my LLMd if he had ever heard of abx withdrawal, he simply answered "Yes".

Many people who stop abx sometimes believe they are relapsing, not necessarily the case. A friend of mine who stopped treatment took 3 months to finally detox all the medication effects (it was very hard for her and she felt very sick) but now she is doing better off meds than on them.
