My LLMD recently switched me from abx to cowden. Then within 3 days I had a mild flare up with eye pain, ear pain, neck pain, flu-like symptoms, joint pain, neuralgia and throat pain which passed in a few days.
Then I increased as they recommended and now I'm having a severe flare up with all the same symptoms but much more intense!
It started next day after the increase in Cowden drops.
It is now a 4th day and it's getting worse now with each day (without me increasing the dosage).
I am really worried whether this is a die off from drops or a lyme flare up after quitting the abx.
I feel so good without the abx and i hope this can work but if this is a sign of lyme then I'm afraid I have no choice but to get back to abx.
If anyone who has been taking Cowden drops knows how they work, please tell me whether you think this is a die off or a flare up of Lyme!
I'd love to hear about you experience with this treatment protocol. Thank you so much!

WHich products are you taking? Usually at the very beginning you just start with the detox & support products, then move to the 'killers.' I had very significant herxes with samento and banderol.

For me, cumanda & quina were very strong. I had to start off with 1 drop & work it up from there. I can still only get up to 5 drops of the quina.
Enula also was very intense & caused me to purge my bowels. Now, I realize it must have been because I had some kind of parasites. I just thought it was too strong for me.
I did some parasite cleanses last year & I had alot of them. I would have never guessed...
Chances are, if you are herxing alot - you still have pathogens that weren't treated with the abx. If you are herxing alot - reduce the dosage. Go slow.

I would ask the LLMD how he wants you to proceed. Maybe ease into them more slowly? Which ones are you taking? Some can cause herx reactions.
If you slowly just get worse, then you probably aren't doing well on the herbs.
If it's more like a herx where you feel bad, then start to feel better, and have an upward trend, then it's probably die off.
You can use burbur often to help with the die off. Some people have to increase some of the herbs very slowly.

Nutramedix products are very strong for me - 1 drop and I am in the herx from hell.
I don't know if I'd think I was getting worse except from a herx.
An LLMd has found the Cowden protocol to work about 70% of the time in his patients, if followed correctly. That is about the same as abx -odds according to my LLMd.
