If you were on treatment since January, am feeling completely disoriented, depersonalized and told your llmd, how long would you give treatment? I am really on key knowing my daily routine, but feel so foreign to my life and what I was like when I felt ok. I'm on pretty strong iv stuff, and almost feeling personality change. Am scared, my llmd psych wants me to take a sleep test. On iv rocephin 3g, zithro iv 3x week, other days orals and 200 mg doxi. I am so happy for so many that have had breakthroughs, - I remember the simplicity of a day which now seems so far past. Am numb, so don't really feel scared, just confused. -------------------- He took u to it, He'll you through

If you were sick for a while before getting any treatment, I would say anywhere from 1 to 5 years. Lyme is not a quick fix. I'm not suggesting IV's for that length of time, just lyme treatment in general.

I was infected 21 years ago, treated back then on and off for a few years and now have been treating for 2.5 years with a 2 month break in between. I know I still have a long way to go. I reasonably expect that it'll take another year or two at least before I'm back to at least 75-80%. I don't have expectations of ever being back to 100%. -------------------- Jennifer
