My LLMD wants my daughter to take 3000 mg of Vitamin C per day. 1000 3x a day. Does this sound right to you guys? Is there any harm in giving her this much? Thanks

It should not cause any harm. I also take Vit C. Follow the doctor's instructions and take the 1000mg 3x daily and not all at once.
For future reference, Sloan Kettering has a great site for looking up supplements. It will even give potential drug/supplement interactions. Here is a link to their Vit C page:

My doc says to take 500mg 2x a day because thats all your body could possibly absorb. The rest will just get flushed out. Taking larger amounts won't hurt you, except possibly cause stomach discomfort.
