I was bitten around October 2007. I was diagnosed 1 1/2 years later.
I have a positive test for Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever but I never really developed the rash. I recently had a head to toe rash that looks exactly like RMSF.
Drs. are saying it's probably an allergy to meds but they are not sure because it doesn't itch.
I was just wondering if anyone has ever experienced getting an RMSF rash long after the tick bite.

Haley, I don't have RMSF but know a couple of people that had delayed presentation of rash. You need to get to an LLMD right away, because the rash is just the beginning of troubles! If you don't have a Lyme-literate doctor (which it sounds as if you don't), find one on the Seeking A Doctor portion of this site.
RMSF is extremely serious and you want to get seen right away! As it is, you'll likely have a waiting period, so don't delay.
Good luck and keep in touch with us.

My daughter never had an EM rash that we saw. She could have had one on her back or scalp but never saw it and she was very modest with us.
Years later, she was bitten by a mosquito and developed multiple sizes of a horseshoe shaped EM rash.
Many never remember a rash so I think that if often doesn't occur or is at a place where no one sees it.
You may also have been re-bitten. Good luck. lmt

I do have an LLMD. Her response was - she doesn't know if it can show up years after a bite.
I tested positive a while ago and I am not dead. People tell me that I will die if it's not treated properly.
I have treated with Doxy but I have stopped that treatment and gone on to co-infections.
I don't know what to treat when and my doctor doesn't seem to think that the RMSF takes priority.
