Me. Depending on what I just took, I can experience certain neurologic symptoms within minutes or even seconds.
It worries me a little because it makes me think that I must have tons of bad guys right in my mouth (yuck) that are being killed as soon as the drug or herb hits my mouth.
That makes me realize how many gazillions of them are still left in my body in spite of how long I've been treating (5 years). It's also an indication of how far I still have to go to get well in spite of how much I've been able to improve.

me me me... check out the detox thread and i believe it has to do with our loads of bugs and toxins in totality.. I wrote about it there and reached out to "a group of people" like you did that seem to have this issue and herx so much and so fast and for so long too.
but I have moved past that now with lots of detoxing and I now can take that same med without that same reaction. .that shows me something... for sure.

I have herxed immediatly from many of the abx I have taken. I doesn't seem to make sense, but it is how I react. It should get better with time.

I started the detox support thread for that reason. It is on page one right now and is a big thread. I noticed I now can take meds that I normally would have dramtaic immediate response to.
SO I know it can change.
I had done a lot of detox and too had beaten the load down with IV abx and integrative iv therapy that helped too...
I did some tests and took those "worst " meds that I normally cringed at because I knew I would be suffering badly and quickly.
I did a whole week of one as a test and never herxed or had a reaction at all!
And this is after having that sort of reaction of like 10 years. I had given up and was thinking this is just how i am and too bad for me... etc.
Since i could not tolerate oral abx I went and did everything else I could that was not that.... I went to an integrative clinic and did various treatments and even some IV abx in there along the way. ANd lots of detox too..
So I wish I knew the actual "reason" some of us are this way.
I just have to guess around it and I do not think I really know.
I just know that since I did what I did I no longer have the issue.
