Yes.

I have - within 20 minutes of taking doxy - even after it had previously helped. A follow-up round triggers a dozen silver dollar sized ruby red rashes. I tried this several times over many months. By 20-30 minutes, I was a mess of huge polka dots - in exactly the same places.

I am hoping your herx is must more of the garden variety kind but if it involves ears in any way, more attention is needed.

Since you are on zith, be sure you are also taking milk thistle and B-6 to help offset vertigo and other ear and balance effects.

Milk Thistle can also help to lessen a herx. Other details to help liver support and to help lessen a herx are in Singleton's "The Lyme Disease Solution"

Usually after the first wave, it gets better.

I can't concentrate and I have shakes, but then again, I've lived in depersonalization since November. Don't know what to do excet taking xanax every few hours to function. Scared. Afraid to sleep cause when I wake up, same stuff another day. Taking milk thistle, logical thinking going out the window. Went for bloods today, have a history of low salt, but anxiety is insane - can't stop crying when I think of how not myself I feel. Sorry to be repetitious, but don't know what to do. Just did one ceftin today, skipped iv. have to do bactrim, zithro and more ceftin when I get home and don't know if the toxicity is making me worse. Thanks for your answers everybody and your help. Wish I could reciprocate with answers if I had any.

Yes!

I herxed after my first Bactrim pill, hard. I started crying for no reason...felt flu like.

I also herxed after my first Doryx which is what I'm on now, and after my first Bicillin shot.

Good luck! Hang in there!
