Hello to all thee new and old friends.

Havent posted on here in years. I had been doing very well with my lyme, candida, root canal and mercury issues. Everything i thought might never be possible again, became possible.

I can now go to a restaurant order a glass of wine, order pasta, have some bread and a little dessert if i want to.

I have been exercising, long sessions of cardio and advanced pilates movements. So things were almost back to normal.

I dont really know what im experiencing now.

I got sick with a cold/flu, (when i was at my worst with lyme i NEVER got a cold or the flu).

Anyway, it has been over 3 weeks now and most of my symptoms are gone except a very deep cough and a low grade fever, EVERYDAY.

Well, my fevers are not exactly low grade for me, since i have a very low body temp in the low 97's. The fevers are running around 99.1-100.6. As im typing m temperature is now at 99.4, now 99.6, and rising slowly.

So here we go, the doctor put me on a z-pack, cough syrup and an inhaler. After week 1 i was still VERY sick so he sent me to ER. A chest x-ray was taken to rule out pheumonia.. Turns out i only have bronchitis. The doctor gave me no medicine and told me to see my primary if i didnt get better. Well i didnt.

So i saw my dr. again he put me on Augmentin for 10 days, which i just finished. I feel better, since my "head cold" is gone, but im still running the fevers, which was one of my worst lyme symptoms for 2 years.

There is one other issue, not sure if its a problem, but i have had a lot of dental work done recently. Im getting partials to replace the 9 root canals which i had pulled. FUNNY, after that last root canal was pulled, i got well.

I still have 6 root canals. All my molars have been pulled allong with a smaller tooth with a root canal.

2 of the teeth he is working on have root canals and i think they may be bad. Nothing usuall never shows up on the xray. When they take the teeth out, thats when they find all the gross stuff. I have had one bad cavitation surgery.

Got a new amazing dentist he "gets" lyme. He removed some my old root canaled teeth and ended up doing some bone grafting, using my own blood. Funny, my cavitation surery was SO PAINFUL and the bone grafting, or cavitation surgery call it whatever u want didnt hurt too much.

Sorry this is so long. I just wanted to list all the possibilites as to why im still running a low grade fever????????? Which isint too low grade at this point and i JUST finished aother ABX.

Any thought??? Could this be from the bronchitis? I still have a very deep cought. Could this have turned into pneumonia?? Or, could my teeth be making me sicki?? Usually, the fevers go away with the ABX when i have a dental problem. The ABX did take care of the dental pain but not the fevers.

I dont think its candida either.

I dont know who to talk to because no one "gets" all of this.

I am just so tired of being sick and i usually can figure out why i am sick.

The picture is not so clear.

I did have a CBC and my counts were fine.

Any ideas if you actually read this whole thing, lol???? Sorry its sooooooo long, but u know how it goes with lyme, candida and root cananls, O and throw in some bronchits for good will. OY

Please Help!!!!! What should i do???

Thank u and God Bless,

Jordan

Hi Jordan,

It sounds like you need to go back to the doctor. Sorry, I know that's not what you wanted to hear.

The daily fevers and lingering cough after finishing two rounds of antibiotics is not normal. I wouldn't necessarily jump to thinking that this is Lyme but it does sound like you have some type of infection.

You might want to ask your doctor to check for Mycoplasma and CPN. Those are two types of community acquired pneumonias that if left untreated can become chronic infections with debilitating symptoms like Lyme.

The teeth are suspicious too though. Do you have a f/u scheduled with the dentist or FP doc? You might need to be evaluated by both to try to rule out what is causing these symptoms. This is where it would be nice to have some blood or tissue (mouth) cultures to aid in treatment.

Take care, I hope that you feel better soon [Smile]

Sammy,

Thank u so much for your thoughts and suggestions!!

Yes, i am seeing my dentist on Friday afternoon.

I wanted to finish the 10 days of Augmentin before i called the doctor. Since i completed the ABX today, i will call in the morning and see where i should go from here.

Yes, i have a gut feeling telling me that its not lyme. Its getting to the point that i am EXTREMELY concerned. Im not a spring chicken @ 42 years old. My doctor was kind enough to call in more cough syrup for me today.

Again, thank you for responding, it means SO MUCH to me. I am open to other peoples suggestions.

Im so very tired right now and my throat is kinda dry and sore. Slight headache too. Guess it could be from the fever.

Lately, i have starting to wonder if im going to wake up in the morning. NOT trying to be a drama queen, but my body has been through A LOT.

Good evening to everyone,

Jordan

Hi Jordan, Havent talked to you in awhile. Glad to hear that you were feeling better. and are able to enjoy foods you once couldnt eat.

there have been a few people I know recently that have been sick with something that has lingered longer than it usually would.

One said she went to her Dr after he said she had bronchitis- she still had this cough that would not go away and she ended up having whooping cough. She was stunned.

I agree with Sammy you need to go and see your Dr and have them figure this out.

hang in there.

Hey Cant give up!!

Nice to speak with you.

Im not any better today. Seeing dentist tomorrow about possible dental infection. Oy, i hope that is notthe problem. I was just in the process of crowning my teeth to have partials made.

Second, i have an appt with a pulmanery (however u spell that) dr next wed. I wanted to see the really GOOD dr, but he wasnt available till 3 weeks from now. I told the lady i may be dead by then!! Seriously.

If i get too sick i can always go to ER again.

Usually when i have a root canal go bad, i get a very bad headache, diarrhea and of course pain and fever.

I only have the pain and fever right now, so im not totally sold on the tooth infection. And my infections never show up on xrays. So, i dont want to be wrong already missing 9 teeth.

Will keep everyone up to date. If anyone else has any advice i would love to read it.

Big thank you,

Jordan

Bronchitis can last a long time, especially the cough. I wouldn't necessarily think you are back to lyme again. I have never had bronchitis that didn't last over a month. Seems like you are starting to get over it and then it starts again. I would increase any immune support stuff that you are doing and try to get more antibiotics from your doc. That z-pack never worked for me. I always had to take erythromycin for a longer period of time...and this was pre-lyme. Rest is very important and also taking the cough meds consistently so you are not damaging your lungs each time you cough. If the cough meds aren't working get something else from the doc. Mucinex works along with any cough meds so that is helpful. Hope it all works out for you.

Hey thanks treelady.

I dont know if u saw in my post but i also had ten days of Augmentin. When i cough its very deep and bad, but, im not coughing a lot really. I mean, if i laugh or talk i start to cough, but just sitting reading the net, im ok.

Im getting a really bad feelling that this might be dental.

I stopped the ABX just two days ago and ALREADY my tooth is beginning to get sensitive again. NOT a good sign. I just put clove oil on it. BTW, clove oil is great for dental pain.

So, after i see my dentist tomorrow at 130 i will post and let everyone know what happens.

Wouldnt it be interesting if i have to pull a tooth, with a old root canal, and my fevers go away. I will start a new post and title it root canals, infections and fevers. God knows, i have only had to pull out 9 root canals already, everyone of them bad.

Wish me luck!!!

xoxo,

Jordan

ok guys, gonna start a new thread.

i am almost 100% certain im dealing with a bad root canal/jaw infection.

The clove oil is not working. I had 2 extra augmentin pills because i quit it at 9 days instaed of 10 because it was really bothering my stomach and i wasnt getting any better, except for my dental pain.

I just took an Augmentin praying it will help with the pain. Cant even touch the outside of my face.

Yup, its at least dental,if not ALL dental.

Will keep u updated.

xoxo

Hi Jordan! I so sympathize!!! I just had my second root canal. I don't know how this relates to lyme, but all my lyme symptoms went crazy. I had been doing fairly well and am now back at square one.

The Clindamycin stopped the absess infection very well, but it made me sick and made my symptoms flare. It did stop the pain.

I think my teeth are falling apart because of my constant grinding on them....I do it all the time. I am going to get another mouth guard and wear it as much as I can.

I think the grinding is part of the facial twitches I have had for some time. My face and jaw drive me crazy!

The dentist tells me that all the meds I am on affect my teeth, too. My mouth is dry. The enamel is all leaving my teeth.

If you can stand it, the Clindamycin might work quickly to fix the painful infection for you. It sure did the job for me.

saw my dentist. took an xray, he didnt see anything on the xray. he did say that lyme wouldnt show up on the xray. please dont slam me if that is not true.

anyway, my lungs have really cleared up so i definately think its a dental thing.

my dentist and i had a long talk about where i should go from here and it seems that all of my root canals have gone bad, are bad or will go bad. i had an amazing endodonist too, but, it realy doesnt matter when you have lyme. at least for me.

so i have 6 root canals left. all my molars are gone.

i was in the process of prepping my remaining teeth for metal free partials which were going to be made in germany.

however, i dont think thats going to happen, at least not right away.

im going to pull this one tooth which i feel is making me sick. i did start new ABX to stop my pain and hopefully lower my fever.

i will have the extraction done this week with or without bone grafting. then, i will see how my body feels. if i get well, then i will go ahead and pull the rest of my root canals. if they are not bad today, then they will be in a year, or 3-5 years from now. no since putting the money into crowning them only to pull them again soon.

so im just going to have it all cleaned out.

will keep you informed on my progress.

farraday, glad the ABX helped u out. hope mine will make me feel better. For me, the ABX are just like a bandaid. helps for awhile but i always get sick again.

take care,

jordan

Jordan, I removed twelve failed root canals in 1998, including all the mushy jawbone and infection. That started me on the road to recovery from a serious case of Lyme Disease and overall toxicity, slowly. The toxins caused by root canals penetrate the whole system. I remember talking to you about five years ago. Nothing has changed. I have been well for many years now, but recently started to detox remaining toxins with Allergie Immun, with no ill effects whatsoever, correcting all the errors that have embedded themselves in the DNA. Life takes on a different look after that.

Good luck.

Gigi, Im glad life is treating you well.

Yes, i remember u very well. Wish i had taken your advice sooner, but, it was hard to grasp at the time. I was going to fly to Nevada to see Dr. H and he wanted to remove around 8 teeth total.

So, i was very conservative. Remember i had that terrible cavitation surgery in West Palm Beach? I think i wrote all of this in a post somewhere.

I LOVE my dentist now, i think u would even approve of him. I dont know if you read but my partials were going to be made in Germany, special for me.

He has already removed several teeth. I had to have bone grafting done twice. He took blood from me so my body would acccept the material. I hardly had any pain at all.

I have 9 out so far. Everytime, i have removed a tooth which was bothering me it improved my health.

I have actually been great over the last 3 years. I even started my own business!! I have been working out, sking, doing pilates. Just healthy. And my candida is all cleared up. I can eat or drink whatever i want.

So, the current plan is to remove this one which is bothering me and see if my fevers stop. If they do, i will be removing the rest of my 5-6 root canals. Be done with it.

I have always thought about u through all of this. I had some horrible dentists along the way. The kind that say, "well the xray looks fine", or my symptoms have nothing to do with the extraction i just had. OY!!! drove me crazy.

my new dentist has cleaned all that up. He knows who Dr. K is and i told him i sent my panaramoic xrays to Neveada to Dr. H.

Glad you found my post. Its nice to speak with you again.

sorry for writing some of the same stuff i already wrote.

xoxo,

Jordan

Jordan, can you send me name and location of your present dentist who did the bone craft, etc. and the partials. I do not use the Pm system here.
My e-mail is [email protected] There are so many who look for a decent dentist. A rarity. Would you also tell me by e-mail the dentist who did your first cavitation in West PB? I think I know that person, but want to be sure.

So glad things look so positive for you now.

Take care.

quick update.

Had 2 root canals removed. I am really tired so i have been sleeping a lot.

My dentist is having them tested at a toxicology lab. Cant wait to see the results.

He said one of them was very dark inside and "wanted to come out". Acually, they both came out very easily.

He cleaned it out VERY GOOD, i did have bone grafting done.

He did notice a dark area on my jawbone where i had an old (bad and difficult) cavitation site. So, he cleaned that out too

Will update you guys after a few days to let you know how im doing. First 24 hours wasnt great, but, the pain has improved, just really tired.

Have a great day!

Jordan

Quick update,

Well, im FINALLY starting to feel better. I wanted to wait until i could finally say, i dont have a fever anymore!!!!!!!!!!! Took my temp tonight because i was actually feeling decent today and it was 97.1 SO HAPPY And i am no longer coughing at all. Bronchitis is totally gone. Just dealing with a little pain still. Will probably feel better once i get the stitches out early next week.

Only 4 more root canals to go. I think im going to try to schedule them all at once, to get it over with. I feel really ugly because of my teeth right now. So, im going to talk with me dentist to see if it would be ok to remove the last 4 RC at one time.

Thanks for all the support!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Peace and L.O.V.E. from Miami,

Jordan

Jordon,
I'm glad to hear that your surgeries are going well.

Have you looked into LED light therapy to reduce the post op swelling and promote healing?
